Mitsubishi Reports Impressive October Sales Results

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) recently revealed that Mitsubishi sold 8,002 vehicles across the United States during the month of October, the company's best results in more than a decade. These results represent a sales improvement of 8.4 percent as compared to sales numbers for October 2017. For the first ten months of 2018, the company has sold 101,400 vehicles, marking an increase of more than 17 percent over the first ten months of 2017.

Most automakers are enjoying the continuing popularity of SUVs and trucks, and Mitsubishi is also experiencing growing demand for their line of crossovers and SUVs. The Outlander Sport enjoyed a gain of 2.7 percent on 2,605 vehicles sold in October, with a year-to-date sales increase of 28.1 percent on 34,012 models sold to U.S. buyers. Sales for the Outlander SUV are up 15.4 percent so far in 2018, with 32,962 models sold.

Mitsubishi stands apart from many automakers, however, in that they're also witnessing growing demand for their car lineup. For example, the Mirage has seen 21,046 vehicles sold to American shoppers during 2018 to date, registering a sales gain of 4.4 percent when compared to 2017 results for the same time period.
